Custom Design

We’ll fine-tune the specifications until you’re fully satisfied, ensuring it fits the character of your landscape and satisfies growing needs. You’ll receive a final materials list and estimated timeline for setup.

Preparation

Before constructing your trellis or arbor onsite, we take care of permitting and concrete or post hole digging if necessary. This prep work streamlines installation.

Our team also acquires all required building supplies, either composite or high grade cedar/redwood lumber. If you opted for a certain stain, paint, or protective finish, we’ll treat materials offsite to properly cure and dry. This minimizes mess and fumes at your property.

Installation

Once the prep work is complete, our skilled carpenters arrive to construct your custom trellis or arbor right on location. For freestanding post or lattice structures, we carefully measure and position footings to ensure it sits square and level.

If attaching the piece to an existing wall or fence line, we employ precise joinery techniques for seamless integration. We construct the entire frame and affix all horizontal, vertical, or diagonal cross-beam supports in a solid, balanced layout.

For two-sided options, we’ll complete one face first before mirroring the design on the opposite side. Throughout the process, we check measurements frequently to produce accuracy. The end result is a stable, even grid for healthy foliage coverage.

Protection & Planting

As a final step, our team sealed any untreated lumber surfaces with protective stains or finishes to defend against weathering, moisture damage, and insects. For pre-finished builds, we perform minor touch ups from assembly.

If you’ve selected plants already, we can incorporate soil beds or hanging planters during building. When construction is complete, we supply tips for ideal vine training or foliage coverage. You can also take advantage of our optional planting service for turnkey installation.
